Maschinengespräche
oder: ich liebe es, wenn Siri meinen Namen sagt

80 minutes

»Maschinengespräche« examines the possibilities and impossibilities of digital agents - codes that we entrust increasingly with our personal information. Algorithms filling our warehouses and maintaining our systems. Chatbots, tirelessly available for voice and service calls - a play about the stories we tell our machines and the abysses we entered in order to create them.

All texts are created in cooperation with machines. Together with chatbots, networks and large language models, Kristina Malyseva generates a text that is fed from a seemingly infinite mass of stored texts from human history - a theater script that constantly re-evaluates itself, reacting and negotiating the extent to which acting and technology can intertwine.

Together with Kristina Maliseva, F. Wiesel and 3rd-year drama students from the Kunstuniversität Graz, director Marcus Lobbes is developing an evening about the search for analog and synthetic identities, about the home of the avatar, the ghost in the machine, a sacred Californian server farm, a community of hackers, deleted accounts, the resurrection of the dead and eternal life.
