The soundscapes dj line moves in the beauty between noise and other disturbing sounds - Field recordings, the creation of soundscapes with modular synthesizers and effects meet analog video technology. Leszek is convinced that the video cassette will make a big comeback.

The soundscape dj line is a recurring musical series in the Kombüse, Graz. It finds itself moving somewhere in the beautiful space between noise and discord.

Leszek Barszczewski works with analogue video technology since 2000, especially as live performance VJ at music events. His latest engagement as VJ was with the noise-rock-duo »Baguette«. Leszek firmly believes that a Comeback of the video cassettes is imminent.

Richard »Richie« Herbst is an Austrian sound activist, based in Graz. Alongside his passion for field recordings, he’s also interested in the creation of soundscapes through modular synthesisers and effects. His solo work is heavily complemented by various collaborations with other sound artists, artist collectives and groups. Richie is an active member of the klingt.org collective and head of the Interstellar Records label.
